Health I Chapter 2 Test Help

For the Chapter 2 Test in Health I you should know the following items:

 

Vocab / Key terms & concepts: 18 matching & modified T/F

self-directed learner- what is one

refusal skills- what are they

stress management skills- examples of these

how your parents help you in making decisions

self-esteem- what is this

consequence- what is this

what are goals?

the decision making model- an overall description

what is stress?

 

The entire decision making model and all 6 steps                                                                                                                             Example:::::

Here are the 6 steps:

     1. State the situation                                                                                                                       1.                           Where am I going to go to college?

     2. List the possible options....you need to list 3                                                                               2.               1. Iowa                                    2. Iowa State                         3. UNI   

     3. Weigh the possible outcomes-- these are the pros & cons- need 3 of each for each option                    (+)            (-)                              (+)          (-)                         (+)          (-)

Look back to Chapter 1 and realize what the 4 properties to a health literate person are- these characteristics can help you in making decisions

 

 

Essay Questions: This is a direct quote from the test!!!

#21. List the 6 steps in the Decision Making Model and then give an example of a decision that you need to make using those 6 steps. (30 points) see example above!

#22. When Setting goals there are 6 steps in the Action Plan. List those steps below and explain why setting goals is so important. 6 + 2 points= 8 points

 

1. Select a goal to work on

2. What steps are you going to take to reach this goal?

3. Who can be some sources of support?

4. Select a reasonable amount of time

5. Have checkpoints to see if goal is progressing

6. Reward- What is your reward if you reach your goal.
