Beginning Foods

 Beginning Foods is an entry level class into the world of cooking. We will focus on the basics of cooking beginning with proper measuring, how to read a recipe, then look at many of the cooking terms used in all aspects of cooking. Food and Kitchen safety will be of utmost importance and will be enforced throughout the entire semester. Once you have been exposed to measuring, safety, recipe reading, and kitchen equipment you will be learning the basics of Fruits, Vegetables, Cereals & Grains, Breads- Quick and Yeast. Each of these areas will have 2 labs where you will be able to test your knowledge back in the kitchens and reap the benefits of your hard work.
